Sunday School & Youth Activities

St. Paul's offers Sunday School classes during the school year for children in Pre-School through Junior High. Children start in worship and go to Sunday School class following a lesson with Pastor Jill called "Time with Children." We also offer a designated staffed nursery. The classroom and nursery are located in the hallway just outside of the sanctuary. We use the curriculum Seasons of the Spirit.

During the summer months (June 25 - August 27), kids stay for the entire worship service. We setup a Prayer Ground space in the front the of the sanctuary and kids are invited to the table after the Time With Children to participate in quiet crafts and activities related to the worship theme of the day. An adult supervisor sits at the "Prayer Ground" to help guide the kids, but the activities are mostly independent.

Confirmation is offered in the 8th grade (Contact Pastor Jill for Confirmation 2017-2018 info). All Christian Education volunteers receive background checks per the guidelines of the UCC Safe Church Policy.

Children are encouraged to participate in all of the ministries and mission projects at St. Paul's during the rest of the week too! Some kid-friendly favorites are the Burlington-Hampshire Crop Walk, Christmas caroling to those who are housebound, and operating the Sunday School vegetable stand to collect proceeds for PADS. We also offer an annual Advent Family Workshop to make cards and small gifts for our shut-ins and a Holy Week experience with an Easter Egg Hunt finale.
