Stock the Shelves

November Mission Project in support of Food For Families

This November we are supporting a new food pantry called Food For Families out of the Well Child Center. For over five decades, the Well Child Center has served thousands of Elgin area children and families directly and by putting them in contact with other community resources. In partnership with Food for Greater Elgin, the Well Child Center is opening a food pantry at their location called Food for Families. We appreciate your contributions to help nourish our neighbors by donating shelf stable items. The Well Child Center is located at 620 Wing St (and Rt 31).

Food and Baby Diapers

Fall Service Project

Volunteer with St. Paul's at the Northern Illinois Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry located at 901 Center Street, Elgin (Old Sherman Hospital parking lot). Volunteers help pack and distribute food. St. Paul's also distributes diapers at the event.

Volunteers needed every third Tuesday. See hall sign-up at church or contact Karen Snyder and Karen Smith.

St. Paul's Diaper Ministry accepts diaper donations every first Sunday - sizes 4, 5, 6. Thank you for supporting our local families and youngest neighbors.

Home Essentials Welcome Kits for Refugee Families

In partnership with World Relief of Carol Stream, St. Paul's built two welcome kits of home essentials. Everything a family of four needs to move in to their new home.

Blessing Bags for those homeless in the Elgin Community

Essentials that we use every day like a Band-Aid, new socks, or a simple tissue are luxuries for someone without permanent shelter. We know our homeless neighbors gather in Tent City and we reached out to the Elgin Police with an idea: a blessing bag.

50 bags - and 50 notes of encouragement - were distributed at The Vineyard Church during their breakfast program.
