Living Nativity & Christmas Craft Fair
Experience the Nativity come to life with real people and live animals. Two narrated outdoor presentations share the story of Jesus’ birth. Between programs, gather around the fire pit, snap a photo by our festive gazebo, and head inside to enjoy homemade cookies and hot chocolate. Visit the crafters in the sanctuary and browse a wonderful selection of handmade gifts and holiday crafts—perfect for your Christmas shopping!
BLUE CHRISTMAS
A special worship service of prayer and support for people feeling the burden and weight of grief during the Christmas season. Held on December 21st, the longest night of the year, the service recognizes the hope and promise of Christ's healing love even in the midst of our darkest night.
Christmas Eve Service
A worship service of candlelight, carols, and communion celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Service is at 5:00 p.m.
STAR WORD SUNDAY
An Epiphany celebration the first Sunday in January. Just like the Magi were guided to Jesus following a star, receive your own "star word" (printed on a card) to encourage and guide your prayer practice in the new year. Every word is unique!
SCOUT SUNDAY & PANCAKE BREAKFAST
A February/March service of blessing and recognition of the commitment and contributions of our young people and adults to Scouting. Sunday School serves a pancake breakfast after worship. A free-will offering is taken to support a charity of the children's choice.
The last supper presentation

Easter SunDAY
Join us for a Sunrise Worship Service at 7:00 a.m. or our regularly scheduled worship service at 9:30 a.m. with breakfast served in-between. Following the 9:30 a.m. service, all kids are welcome to an Easter Egg Hunt.
PRIDE SUnday
During the month of June we celebrate and re-affirm our commitment to be an Open and Affirming congregation with participation in the Elgin Pride Parade and Festival and Pride Sunday worship service affirming the image of God in every person and the belovedness of our LGBTQ+ siblings in Christ. Look for our booth at Elgin's annual PRIDE Parade and Festival.
BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS
A September outdoor worship service giving thanks and praise to God for the gifts of creation. Bring your pet(s) or service animals to church for a special blessing. (Service is indoors in the event of rain.) Donations of pet food and financial donations are collected on this day for a local shelter.
HERITAGE FEST
German home-cooking just like Grandma's! This dinner fundraiser supports the CROP Hunger Walk. Live accordion entertainment, kids face-painting, and pretzel necklace craft table for all ages. The first Saturday in October.
ALL SAINTS SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE
The first Sunday in November we remember the members and friends of St. Paul's who have died in the past year. Everyone is invited to light a candle in remembrance of the light of our loved ones who have gone on before us.
Advent Workshop
An all-ages Christmas craft event hosted after worship. Supplies and materials provided. New crafts every year!
