Seasonal Worship Opportunities at St. Paul's

  • Living Nativity

See the nativity come to life with real people and real animals. Two narrated programs are presented. In-between presentations all are invited to warm by the fire pit, take pictures by the decorated gazebo and wander inside for home-cookies and hot chocolate. This is a free event, our Christmas gift to the community.

  • Christmas Eve Service

A service of candlelight, carols and communion to celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Service is at 5:00 PM.

  • STAR WORD SUNDAY

An Epiphany celebration with Holy Communion. Receive a word (on a printed card) to encourage and guide your prayer practice in the new year. Trust that your word was meant for you.

  • SCOUT SUNDAY

A February/March service of blessing and recognition of the commitment and contributions of our young people and adults to Scouting. Sunday School hosts a pancake breakfast after worship. No tickets necessary. Free will offering is taken.

  • The last supper presentation

Watch DaVinci's famous painting come to life as each disciple describes his call to follow Jesus and his experience of the transformative power of Jesus' love. Interested in hosting the Last Supper Presentation at your church? Contact Anne at stpauls4me@yahoo.com

  • Easter SunDAY

A special 7 AM worship service followed by an Easter Breakfast from 8 - 9:30 AM. Regular worship service at 9:30 AM followed by an Easter Egg Hunt.

  • PRIDE SUnday

On the first Sunday in June, we celebrate and re-affirm our commitment to be an open and affirming congregation. This service is designed to celebrate all bodies, lives, and ministries, but especially those of our LGBTQIA+ siblings. Look for our booth at Elgin's annual PRIDE Parade and Festival and watch our Facebook page for the next Elgbtq+ fundraiser.

  • Blessing of the Backpacks

All students and education staff are invited to bring their backpacks for a special back-to-school blessing in August. All receive a blessing reminder backpack tag.

  • BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS

A fall outdoor worship service of thanksgiving for creation and our creature friends. (Indoors in the event of rain.) Donations of pet food are collected on this day for a local food pantry.

  • ALL SAINTS SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE

The first Sunday in November we remember the members and friends of St. Paul's who have died in the past year with a naming ceremony. Everyone is invited to light a candle in remembrance of the light of our loved ones who have gone on before us - shining around us still, lighting our path.
